Payment Methods

Last Updated: September 2026

At Zjessp (accessible via https://zjessp.com), this page sets out how you can pay, how your payment information is protected, and what to do when a payment does not go through.

Handing card details to a business you have not bought from before is the part people are most cautious about, and reasonably so. The short version is that we never see them: everything runs through PayPal's gateway and your card number never reaches our systems.

By placing an order you agree to the terms below. If a charge on your statement does not look right, email us at support@zjessp.com before opening a dispute and we will look it up with you.

Payment at a Glance Our Standard

1. Accepted Methods

Three payment routes are available at checkout and all three settle through the same gateway.

  • PayPal: pay from your PayPal balance or from a bank account or card linked to it.
  • Debit card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
  • Credit card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

You do not need a PayPal account to pay by card. Choose the card option at checkout and enter the details on the secure payment page. The gateway handles both routes the same way.

2. The Payment Gateway

Every transaction on this site is processed through PayPal, which is certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Your card details are entered on PayPal's own encrypted page and travel directly to them. They do not pass through our website and we do not have access to them at any point.

3. Payment Security

We never see, store, or retain your full card number, expiry date, or security code. What we receive back from the gateway is a transaction reference and a result, which is what lets us match a payment to an order and issue a refund later. The site runs over an encrypted SSL connection. How we handle the personal data we do hold is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. When Payment Is Taken

Payment is taken in full at the time you place the order, as a single one-time charge. We do not operate subscriptions, we do not store payment credentials for future use, and we do not place additional charges on a card after an order is complete. Orders enter packing once the payment is confirmed.

5. Currency and Foreign Transaction Fees

All prices and all charges are in US Dollars. If your card or bank account is held in another currency, your issuer converts the amount using its own exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. That fee is set by your issuer rather than by us, and it does not appear on your order total here.

6. Sales Tax

Sales tax is calculated at checkout where applicable, based on your delivery address and the rates in force at the time of the order. The exact amount is shown before you confirm payment, so the figure you approve is the figure that reaches your statement.

7. Failed or Declined Payments

When a payment is declined, nothing is charged and no order is created. The common causes are worth checking first.

  • A mistyped card number, expiry date, or security code.
  • An expired card.
  • Insufficient available balance or credit.
  • A billing address that does not match the one your bank holds on file.
  • Your bank's own fraud screening, which sometimes stops a first-time purchase.

If the payment still fails, your bank or PayPal can tell you the specific reason, because they hold it and we do not. Write to us at support@zjessp.com either way and we will help you get the order through. If your situation falls just outside one of these, write to us anyway.

8. Pending Authorizations

Occasionally a declined attempt leaves a pending authorization showing on your account. That is a hold rather than a charge, no money has moved, and it normally clears on its own within a few business days. If one is still showing after that, tell us and we will confirm in writing that no payment was taken, which is usually what your bank needs to release it.

9. Refunds

Refunds go back to the payment method used at checkout and cannot be redirected elsewhere. Timing, eligibility, and the prepaid return label we email on request are all set out in our Return & Refund Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this page as our payment options change. The revised version is posted here with a new Last Updated date.

11. Payment Questions

If a charge does not look right, or a payment will not go through, write to us before doing anything else.
