5. What Happens Next

We review every notice within 5 business days of receiving it. Where a notice is complete and the claim appears valid, we remove or disable access to the material and notify whoever supplied it. Where a notice is incomplete, we come back to you and say which element is missing rather than silently ignoring it.

6. Counter-Notice

If material you supplied has been removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice. It must identify the removed material and its former location, include a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake, provide your name, address, and email address, include your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district in which your address is located, and carry your physical or electronic signature. We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant.

7. Repeat Infringers

Where a person or an organization repeatedly infringes intellectual property rights through this website, we terminate their access to it.

8. Misrepresentation

Section 512(f) of the DMCA imposes liability on anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or a counter-notice. Please be sure of the claim before sending one.
