1. A Medium Has to Stay a Medium

Most people who buy clothes online have learned to distrust the size letter, and they are right to. A medium in a knit top and a medium in a pair of trousers from the same store can be drafted from different blocks by different suppliers in different years, and nobody tells you. So you order two sizes, keep one, and send the other back. Everybody has done it. It is treated as normal.

We do not think it should be. The single most useful thing a store carrying several categories can do is make one size behave the same way across all of them, so that the fit you learn on your first order still applies to your fourth. That is the standard we hold ourselves to, and it is why flat measurements are published on every listing rather than a size letter alone. A letter is a guess. A number in inches is something you can check against a garment already hanging in your closet.

2. What Guides the Work

Three commitments sit behind every decision we make about the range and the service around it.

• One size chart, honestly applied. We record garment measurements flat and publish them with every item, taken the same way each time. When a piece is restocked we do not quietly redraw the pattern, because a fit that worked for you last season should still work when you reorder.
• Pieces that hold their shape. Seams that lie flat, hems that hang level, knitwear that recovers after wearing rather than stretching out at the elbows. These are the things that decide whether a garment still looks like itself after a month in rotation.
• One price, printed once. We do not run a crossed-out figure next to a permanent sale price, and we do not inflate a listing so it can be discounted later. The number on the listing is what you pay, plus $4.95 shipping and any sales tax at checkout.

3. What We Carry, and What a Photograph Cannot Show

The range covers tops, tees and tanks, sweaters, pants, dresses, and outerwear. Tops and knitwear carry most of it, with trousers, dresses, and outer layers built around them so a single order can produce a finished outfit rather than one piece looking for something to go with. The categories are chosen to work together across the year rather than to chase a season.

There is a lot a photograph cannot carry, though, and pretending otherwise helps nobody. You cannot feel the weight of a knit or tell how a twill will hold a crease. Color shifts with the display and the daylight around it. A dress that falls beautifully on a model who is five foot ten sits somewhere else entirely on somebody who is five foot three, and no photograph tells you where.

So we close what we can and absorb the rest. Flat measurements go on every listing. Every order ships tracked. If the fit is wrong, or the color reads differently in your hands than it did on screen, the Return & Refund Policy applies, we email you a prepaid return label within 1 business day, and the return costs you nothing. Getting it wrong should cost you the time it takes to repack a parcel, and nothing else.
